Questions about Tagstash features
- Can a bookmark have more than one tag?
- Yes. A Tagstash bookmark can have multiple tags, so one link can appear under every relevant topic. Select multiple tags to show only bookmarks that have all of them. You can also merge overlapping tags from the Tags page.
- Are private bookmarks included in a public profile?
- No. Bookmarks marked private are excluded from your public profile and its JSON API. Your collection stays private until you enable a public profile in Settings; after enabling it, bookmarks not marked private become visible to visitors.
- Can I move bookmarks into and out of Tagstash?
- Yes. Import browser bookmark HTML files or a Raindrop.io CSV. Export your complete library, including private bookmarks, as HTML, CSV, or JSON. JSON preserves dates, tags, favorites, and privacy settings.
- Can I use my shared bookmarks on another website?
- Yes. Enable your public profile, then copy its public JSON API URL from Settings. An optional tag filter lets another website fetch only one topic. This public API does not require authentication and never includes private bookmarks.
